Abbeyfield House – Galgate

The weekly charge covers:

• The rent of the Flat
• Central heating and hot water
• Water Rates
• Council Tax
• All communal facilities
• a Resident Housekeeper and staff.

Residents get meals, however the four flats at the back are self catering, and Residents are responsible for the electricity used in their Flats.
 

Corn Close House – Flatts Road

The weekly charge covers:

• The rent of the Room or Flat
• Central heating and hot water
• Water Rates
• Council Tax
• All communal facilities
• A Resident Housekeeper and staff
• Fortnightly cleaning of the Room or Flat
• Fortnightly laundering of bed linen

The two main meals of the day are provided in the Dining Room.

General

• All Rooms and Flats are provided with a BT telephone outlet, and Residents are responsible for the cost of connection, installation and use of the line.

• All Rooms and Flats have a call alarm system, and Residents are provided with personal alarms. Each of the Society’s two Houses has a ‘door entry’ system controlled from each Room and Flat.

• Residents do not require a TV licence.

• Residents carpet and furnish their own Rooms or Flats (often, they are already carpeted).

• Arrangements may be able to be made, at an extra charge, for personal laundry.

• Charges are payable 4 weeks in advance by Standing Order. Charges are reviewed annually on 1st March.
